Using 133FSB processors in a 100FSB board (Intel L440GX)

Is it possible to use processors with a 133 front side bus in a board that
supports a maximum 100 FSB? Like RAM, would they simply run at 100 or
would they be incompatible?

I'm considering 533Mhz Pentium IIIs in an Intel L440GX board.

Thanks,

James

Your problems are far more serious than merely running a 533 at 400 MHz.
The L440GX is a 2 cpu server board that takes SECC2 processors.
So you would need adapters for the 533/133MHz cpus. Lots of luck.
Frankly wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a cheap mobo for the 533s?

It might work. But, because of the locked 4X multiplier, it would only run at
400 MHz.

Do you have one of the newer versions of the board that support "Coppermine"
processors?:
