If you use NetBeui on a LAN which does not access the Internet should you
disable TCP/IP or is it alright to have both protocols checked?

If both protocols are listed and checked is there a way of stating which is
the preferred protocol?

If you use NetBEUI for file and printer sharing, un-bind file and
printer sharing from TCP/IP, as shown here:
