Hi all,

A strange request,

Short story on the setup,
(W3k Std)
TS farm all users that connect to the Farm are part of the power users group
on the local Server. This need to be done so that when user x connect it
maps up there local printers and then shares the main invoice printer as
XXXXX. If they are not in the power users group the sharing will not work.

My issue is that when the go to task manager to kill a hung process if they
click on the users tab it gives them the abillty to log off all users on the
terminal server.

I cant take the access to task manager away as I have 800 users and all
using a crappy app that hangs process. (Only a small helpdesk need users to
help them self at times)

Is there a way to remove the users tab off task manager ?????

Any ideas would be very helpful

Thanks in advance

Cliff

This is a consequence of making the users Power Users. You really
should fix the printer problem in a different way to avoid this.

Can't you install the main invoice printer on the TS or a
PrintServer and make it available to all users?

Can't the users share the printer on their local desktop, and then
users connect to these shared printers from within their TS
sessions?
Provided you have standardized computer names and printer names,
so that you can write a rule to link a certain client computer
with a certain printer, this could be done in a login script.
