In our company, we insatlled a new Win2k3 domain in a new forest, and
migrated all users and computers from existing (old) domain to a new domain,
so that we could shut-down the old domain and work with a new one.
Now, when we 'join' client computers to a new domain with an
username/password (that was migrated from old domain), the following
situation occours: when user tries to use any program that were previously
installed under 'old' domain system requires to install/setup components (MS
office and other 3rd party programs.) It's quite stresfull, because we have
over 300 users and we need that they have the same settings they had when
the computers were joined in 'old' domain.
Is there a way, to copy all settings and programs from an old users profile
'old_domain\user' to a new user profile 'new_domain\user'
so that they'll have all the settings they had previously and that we don't
have to reinstall programs?
