SOMEONE PLEASE HELP... It is probably really easy to fix,
however, I cannot figure it out. When I am trying to set
up myself as the user on XP Prof, it is setup, however,
does not allow me to input password. Error message comes
up saying....."windows can not change the password"....
Why not? What can I do to get my computer to turn on, ask
for a password before continuing on to my
background/programs etc? Basically, I want my wife to be
able to get on the computer and type in her password, and
her savings/options all come up, without screwing mine
up. I know this is a great benefit with XP. PLEASE HELP
ME....

Hi,

Simply go into Control Panel and the User Accounts.
Makle sure you have a user account for both you and your
wife. MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED ON AS ADMINISTRATOR - try
logging on in safe mode and then performing steps below)

If each account has no password then you will see a
picture for each account when you start the computer and
clicking on the relevant picture will log that user in.

If each user has a password then when you click on the
picture you will be prompted to enter your passsword.

Regards,

Tim
