We have had a windows 2000 AD system setup here for the last 7 months or so. It has been working 100% fine with no hicups, untill about 2 weeks ago. I noticed that computers where missing from the AD listing... The useres can still log onto the domain just fine aparently, but they just don't show up in AD! Which means users have to manualy type in ip adresses of servers to connect to them.

We have 1 domain computer, with a backup runing in reserve. The users are spread across 4 subnets, and non of the network has changed in the last 2 weeks.

Does anyone have any ideas, I am willing to reach for any help at this point! Anyway to check to see if useres are realyl loging into the Domain, and not just some cached password account!

Hi-

Just to clarify, you're missing computer (end-user) accounts or server
computer accounts in your domain? And if you do a find from the domain root,
you're results don't show the missing computers? Are you using MS DNS? What
is your configuration for your entire AD infrastructure?

Thanks
Richard
