We are running 5 servers with AD, Two app servers and 2
SQL servers. When a user logs into the app server they
get our app and do their work. We have now had two
instances where the user logs in and the app does not
come up and they get a desktop with access to the server.
We have the environment tab set to auto start the app so
they should not get a desktop at all. This has happened
only a few times. The user goes back in after 10 min and
the app comes up as it should. We have had two isolated
incidents. We do not know why this is happening but it is
causing a serious security risk to other of users being
able to access data they should not be able to. My
question is this, has anyone seen this type of behavior
before? If so, does anyone know of a fix? I have been
searching the white papers on TechNet and I have not been
able to find anything on it. I have tried to duplicate
this problem but I have not been able to.
