User's Documents & Settings with network share or Roaming Profiles

I currently have a 10 user XP Domain, and I am looking for some a way
to manage the user machines (mainly backup their information). I have
scanned the newsgroups and it looks like some people setup "My
Documents" to be a network drive, by using a vbs script. Is there a
easy way to store all of the user's "Documents and Settings" on a
network drive, depending on who logs onto the client? I have heard
from several people that roaming profiles are not the way to go,
however I need a good way to backup the user information on the client
machines. If someone has a good logon script to setup this up, it
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

when you say XP domain do you mean 10 Windows XP machine in and Active
Directory Domain? If so you can quickly setup a GPO that will redirect
the my docs to where ever and even move the files as well.

setup a profile path in the user properties as well and this will save
all their files in documents and settings to the location you specify.
I can tell you though that Roaming profiles in windows 2003 server work
great. So depending on what server you're running you could consider
it.
