I have a small 40 user Windows 2000 AD server network.
Students that sign on to the network are subjected to a
heavily restricted GPO and a simple Mandatory Profile.
I have a printer on the server I would like to share. I
have created a policy with a Logon script that connects
the printer & allows everyone to load & unload device
drivers.
It still says I have insufficient priviledges to connect
the printer unless I make the users members of the "Power
Users" group on their local machines.
Is there anyway of changing the local settings on the
client machine so that even guest users are allowed to
connect printers? And where are the security settings for
this?
Cheers for reading,
Aaron
