Users 1000+

Wow, I'm rather chuffed that it went over 1000 today :D There are almost 10,000 users registered now too!

The site is slowing up a bit at the moment I notice, so I'll have to see what I can do about that.

the site is really feeling the strain, but its good to know that there really are alot of people that find this site useful
 
I think I can hear the servers cogs heaving away even from here... 1051 at the moment...!

Yeah, I've got an idea on how to fix it but I can't do it while its so busy or it will be down for hours :( Going to change it tonight quite late so should be back up to speed (its a full implementation of the speed tweaks I tried last week).

Wow this is a great accomplishment, saying that about a month ago the max users onlione was about 400.

1,000 different people viewing pages of the site at once is quite staggering really.
Ian, do you know what they're all looking at, and are they just clicking in, viewing and clicking out, or are they having a good look around?
 
Its mainly people viewing articles and newsgroups - if you click on the online counter you can see where all the guests are :)

I can't believe it got to 1100 today!

surely it stopping at the PERFECT figure of 1100 must be coincidental!

it could have been 1103 or 1109
but it had to stop on 1100

i find this amamzing maybe its time to put numbers 1 and 11 in this weeks lottery!

Maybe not the highest its ever been, but thats the first time i`ve seen it over 1000.

That is SERIOUSLY impressive :) All the admin and page designers must be very proud. They should be, anyway :)

But I am noticing the pages are taking a bit longer to load...
