User shell folder damaged

It seems that when Antispyware recreates the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders\Programs key, it creates a REG_SZ instead of REG_EXPAND_SZ
preventing programs from calling SHGetSpecialFolder with success.

Yeah, sure. I just trying to report a behavior that MSAS causes. It seems to
change that value when you disable the User shell folder spy agent.

Thanks very much for the report. I'm not a developer--can you give an
example of the symptoms that an end-user would see as a result of this
change?

I suspect this is known, but I would like to replicate this on my machine,
and pass it on in any case.

I'm not certain that I understand your final sentence--and that seems
crucial to replication--can you give me a step-by-step?

Do the following:

1. Try to install an application that creates Menu Icons in User Profile
Folder.
2. The MSAS will try to block access to this folder.
3. Allow MSAS to block this application.
4. After that, the setup mail fail. So, open MSAS and unblock the setting
preveting the User Profile Folder access previously blocked.
5. If you check your Registry, you'll note that the value of the String is
now REG_SZ instead of REG_EXPAND_SZ
