User search in ADS Snap-in

Hi Everyone,
I have a Windows 2003 ADS with a lot of OUs and sub OUs in which all the
users are listed.
Now everytime a user calls me to reset his password, I would do the
following.
Search for the user ID in the ADS snap in and then reset his password.
Now I would also want to know under which OU does this user exist without me
asking the end user about all his department details. I do not document the
details of the users department in the user attributes.
So my question is just by taking a user ID I want to search where in the
Active directory hierarchy is he existing.

If You want to now it from the ADU&C search result just add
Distinguished name to the list of columns in result (View -> Choose
columns)
 
I would recommend picking up the Active Directory Cookbook and look at script
examples. I am guessing you could easily shave several minutes off whatever
process you have for resetting passwords by using a script.
