While trying to restrict access to a folder on my PC, I seem to have done
something that is restricting my access to the specific folder on which the
cursor rested at that time. All I seem to have done is used the right click
button to go to the sharing tab and attempt to find the appropriate option,
which I feel I could not, so I just clicked <OK> and then no access to
folder.
When trying to click on the folder, I simply get a message that "Access is
Denied'. When I right click the folder to go to properties, I can not get
the folder to be shared ( and I am using the same user profile).
I have also attempted to enter the folder using the administrator profile
but to no avail, ...same message of being denied access. My knowledge of XP
remains limited and I seem to be out of ideas as to what I might have done
to restrict my access that I can not undo, even from my administrator
profile. The disk is formatted in NTFS.
Would appreciate any advice, ... as along as it is worded in layman
language!
