User Profiles & machine updates

We have a small office network consisting of 20 computers. Sometimes users
have to use a different terminal than their usual one, and when they log on
to a different terminal, for some reason, in the internet connection
settings, in puts a tick in the "Use proxy server" option, and this has to
be manually removed. Also, in outlook, it tries to open the folders of the
user that was logged on previously, so you have to manually change them to
the current user. After this it usually remembers the new settings, but if
that user uses another computer, the settings have to be changed again, it
is like it is not storing the users profile correctly. Is there a way to fix
this so that anyone can long on anywhere and it will just work?

The network is a Win200 server and Win2K workstations. Latest service packs
and updates are installed on all machines.

Also, its there a way I can update software on the terminals without
visiting all the machines seperately?
