I have just downloaded a file which by default was saved to
c:\users\%username%\temp. It was a 2.5Gb .iso file and as a result my
userprofile has reached 5.5Gb in size.

I have no Temp file within my profile and when searching for the iso file i
cannot find it!!!

I am viewing hidden files and searching system and non indexed folders.

The file is not important, i just want to get my user profile reduced in size.

Anybody out there have any ideas?

Thanks

Stephen

Try this. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard. Type
"%Temp%" in the Run box, and click OK. This
should open your user temp folder.

I had been browsing the Temp folder that %temp% brings up and it isnt in there.

When the file was downloaded it put it into c:\users\%username%\temp the
only thing wrong with that is that there is no temp folder at that level.

Thanks

Hmmm. Try this in Run (include the quotes) (note that this command uses the
default location for the Temporary Internet Files folder; if you've changed
the location for that folder, change the path accordingly):

"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5"
or
"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Low\Content.IE5"

Check inside the alphanumerically named folders.
