Basically the profile name is the same as the login name.
No, that wouldn't be necessary. You'd failed to mention that this was
concerning a domain account; that makes a significant difference.
You'll need to use Regedit to search the registry for, and to delete,
all instances of keys containing that user's login name. Once that's
done, the user can then login, using his/her domain credentials, to
create a new profile.
