user PID's

Hello,

My secured DB is going to have some 200 users. Does the PID for each and
every user need to be recorded/remembered?

You can use the same PID for each user, if you choose (of course this
creates a security risk). You should always print and save the info
necessary to re-create the .mdw file, in my opinion.
 
Yes. If you want to be able to recreate a workgroup file "from
scratch", you need to record the following values:

- company name
- organization name
- workgroup identifier (WID)
- for each user:
- user name;
- PID.

Users are generally throw-away objects ;-)

Assign all your object permissions to groups, and place the users in
the appropriate groups for their designated tasks. If a user account
becomes corrupt, you can create an new one with any PID and assign it
to the appropriate group.

It is vital to retain the PIDs for the groups in case they ever need
to be recreated.
