I have two users for my PC and I am using windows XP. I
have the administrator account and there is one other
account, that is limited. How do I add permission for the
limited account user to use the internet?

If you have installed your ISP software in the Administrator Account, you
need to install it in the limited account as well. First, set the limited
account to Administrator, install the software, then return the account to
limited.

If there is no software and you are setting up a native connection, the
function is the same, change the account to an Administrator account, setup
the connection then return the account to it's limited status.

It is not necessary to set the limited account to Administrator to install
software for a limited account. All you have to do is to right-click on the
setup program and select "Run As...". Then select the administrator's
account and enter its password. The result will be the same but it takes
much less time. ;)

And then he must give up the password for the Administrator account.

My last response was a bit cryptic. If he installs the application in this
fashion, it may result in the limited user having to use the "run as"
command to run the application and that would require them knowing the
password.

Many applications were not designed for this type of setup and may end up
requiring the administrator's password in order to run in the scenario you
describe. I know, because I ran into this situation myself. It may work
for some applications, in fact, some will ask during setup if you want this
application accessible to all users or only the current user. Other's don't
and as such, the limited user will often have to right click the shortcut to
the application, click "run as" and then have to enter the administrator's
password. The method I originally posted avoids that.
