User needs "Engineering" in Cell Format

I have 1 user with it, running XP Pro w/ Office 2k Pro
with an Engineering option, and another user runnign 2k
Pro and XP Pro Office and the 2nd user doesn't have what
he needs, which is an Engineering catatory for auto cell
format to do his DEC2HEX automatically.

Any thoughts?

The Engineering function category is added when you load the Analysis ToolPak
add-in that comes with Excel (all versions since at least as far back as Excel
5, maybe even Excel 4). This add-in is *NOT* automatically loaded by default.
The user would need to run Tools > Add-Ins..., then locate and check Analysis
ToolPak and click OK in the dialog.
 
Didn't work. : / Tried it both with Office 2k and Office
XP.

In what way did it not work? You checked off the Analysis ToolPak, but still no
Engineering functions? Or not Analysis ToolPak entry in the Add-Ins dialog? If
the former, I'm stumped. If the latter, you're going to have to reinstall Excel.
 
The Former, unfortunately. I was stumped too, as one of my
users has that with the Analysis pack checked off, and
this one does not.

Not sure.

OK, when worse comes to worst, be as exacting as possible. Check the Analysis
ToolPak in the Add-Ins dialog, then close Excel, then restart Excel. Is the ATP
still checked? If not, then you'll need to consider reinstalling Excel. If the
ATP is still checked but there's no Engineering functions category, then it'd
seem that user's copy of the ATP has become corrupted, so a reinstall would be
necessary.
