When I had a new mother board installed in my computer, I
had to reformot and reinstall WinXP. They did it at the
store and used the name "CUSTOMER" as user name. How do I
change it to my name?

Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion. In the right pane, change RegisteredOwner to whatever you
like.

Open Regedit (Start - Run, type Regedit). Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion in the left
hand pane. Click CurrentVersion. In the right hand pane, look for
RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization. Double click each and enter the
correct information.
