I am currently using Now() in a field in my table to record, when a new
record has been added. What I would like to do is also record the you
Windows login. I have tried using the code at
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm but I am not sure how to call the
in the table.

In a table you can't. You have to use a form for all data entry and then
you can use an appropriate event in the form to call the function and
assign its return value to a field.

You can't use this function (or any other custom VBA function) at the table
level. You can use it in, for example, the Before Update event of a form.
