Just bought and installed FP 2002. When I click "Empty
Web", then click "One Page Web", I get a screen that asks
for My user name(?)and password (?). I am unable to go
further, or to use the program at all, and it doesn't seem
fair to pay Microsoft $35. to get me around this stupid
problem. Any help out there?

Did you enter a user name and password
during the installation process??

If so,did you try them.?

You didn't say which OS,but if it's 2K did you try
your 2K "admin" or "user" name and password??

If you just bought FP2k2, MS has free 30 or 90 Tech phone help.

An idea, not knowing what OS you are using is, it could have been installed
under a different user or user permissions on your computer. I can't think
of a situation to why it would do that, unless it was a live site you were
trying to access...

First, create a folder for a web on your HD, then browse/open that folder
via FP. FP will indicate that it is making the folder a web. Then you can
start adding pages, etc.

FP can not create a root web, but the prompt could be caused by the version
of Windows being used and type of login, Admin or User, etc.
