We have one user who all of the sudden cannot schedule appointments on her
own Outlook calendar. She gets an error about low system resources. We did
some digging and she also gets that when going into Tools>Options. And, we
found the Perferences tab was missing as well.

Info:
Outlook 2003
We've detected and repaired
We've uninstalled and reinstalled Office
We've run /clean freebusy and /cleanreminders
We've checked her local user permissions (Windows XP Pro)
We've deleted and recreated her Outlook profile
Running McAfee virus scanner
Running Intel Landesk client

Any suggestions?

Just thought I would update that we solved this problem. Maybe it will help
someone else.

We found that by starting Outlook from the Run command using /safe switch
that it started up fine and there were no errors on the calendar. The
Preferences tab also came back. So then we determined it was an add-in
problem. We found an add-in that had been used in earlier versions of
Outlook for a contact management software program. Our users had that Web
page stored in their IE Favorites, and when they clicked on that link, it
attempted to reinstall the old add-in (which isn't supported in Outlook
2003), which then caused the problem. So we were able to un-check the add-in
and it works fine now. We've since deleted the old shortcut to that Web page
in their Favorites too.
