I have a user who all of a sudden is unable to browse or
connect to any of the network shares in a RAS-VPN
scenario.
I have had him try logging on to the local RAS domain,
and he is even unable to search for that ServerName
itself. When he logs on to the main DOMAIN, he is
validated by the DC but when he trys a NET VIEW
servername, he gets "error (1231) The network location
cannot be reached"
* He is able to PING servername and gets responses.
* IPCONFIG shows the DNS and WINS server addresses to be
correct on the VPN connection
* He has no firewall (that he knows of), and nothing
changed from 2 days ago. it just all of a sudden stopped
working.
* Other users are connecting and experianceing no
problems.
The DC is also running the WINS and DNS services.
I reviewed KB Article 817770 and he says the TCP/IP
NetBios serivce is running.
The RAS Server has no trouble itself seeing the other
servers.
Any ideas??
