How do you remove the Desktop Background for the terminal
services client users?

The following does not work:
1. Login as administrator on the server console
2. Opened a command prompt
3. Executed "Change User /install"
4. Right click on the desktop (display properties)
5. Click on the Background tab
6. Selected None
7. Click OK
8. Executed "Change User /execute".

Any help is appreciated.

In remote desktop client, if you click on "options" and choose "Experience"
tab, there is an option to not allow "Desktop Background".

If you would like to enforce it for all users, you can do it using group
policy (gpedit.msc). Its in Computer Configuration->Administrative
templates->Terminal Services->Enforce Removal of Remote Desktop Wallpaper.

Hi Rajneesh,

How do you get in to the Remote Desktop Client? Is this
from the server console?

Also, how do you add the Terminal Services selection on
the Administrative Templates? When I run gpedit.msc on the
terminal server console, I cannot find Terminal Services
under Administrative Templates...

Thanks again.

What windows version are you running as terminal server. I believe these
group policy options are available only after windows XP.

The remote desktop client is the client your users will use to connect to
terminal server. Its in program files->accessories->communication
