I have and XP Home system and office 2000. A corrupt WMI
(Windows Management Instrumentation)file, resulting in a
re-install of windows is required. I have much
information in user defined fields in Outlook Contacts.
How can I export this data so as to be able to restore
after re-install? Will archive preserve this data?.

Don't export!!!! Just use your existing .pst file as the information store
for Outlook. If you need help doing that, look at Help | About and tell us
whether OUtlook is in Corporate/Workgroup or Internet Mail Only mode.

I have used archive to .PST file before, but sometimes I
miss some of the data fields.
I looked under help, dont see exactly what you describe,
but this is a single user, no Network. Internet access
only.
Thanks.

Don't look in Help. Look in the Help | About Microsoft Outlook dialog. It
will tell you whether you're configured for CW or IMO mode.

In the meantime, you'll want to locate your existing .pst file. See
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm if you have trouble with this.
