Hi,

Local machine does have a strong password policy.
Vendor needs to install application to the machine, but
password is not revealed.

Is it possible to write a script to create an user with
Administrator access rights to the machine.

Hope someone can assist me.

Hi Squirrel

Are you saying you do not have access to the administrator account on the machine?

Hi Dan,

Scenarios is like this....

Vendor would like to install apps.
User was created as "User" group thus not able to install
any application. As per contract, Vendor is suppose to
install apps. However with the strict company policy, I
am not able to release the password to the vendor.

Am wondering, how can I create a dummy administrator
account so that I can allow the vendor to install the
application without jeopardize the policy.

Hope I have paint a clearer picture.

Hi

Ok that is traight forward to do. Just create a new user in Users and Computers and add them to the group 'administrators' they shouldn't need domain admin privileges. Does that answer your question?
