User Control accessing page

Hi all,

Maybe a stupid question, but I wondered if it was possible to access one of
the public variables on the page from within a user control on that page?

I would like to use a property in the user control to access the correct
public variable. This property should contain the variables name.

you can only pass things from a user control to parent page during the user
controls PreRender

Page.FindControl() does the trick.
