User CAL's

I have just installed a new Dell PowerEdge 2950 with Windows 2003 Server R2
x64 Ed., I purchased 50 user CAL's and entered them into Licensing.

When I try to access my server across the network it tells me I have reached
the maximum allowed connections.

I have checked Licensing, it is all set to Per User or Per Device mode, it
states I am using 2 Per Server and allocated 1 Per User or Per Device.

It makes no sense at all.

Try posting your question to a group with "windows server" in the title, or
call Dell. This is a .Net Programming newsgroup.

Yep, you're right, there's a bunch of them. They did something to the
Microsoft Discussion Groups site. If you go there, and try to post a new
message, it shows a dropdown list of the groups.

The only problem is, it doesn't show the whole name. So there are a lot of
entries for "General Discussion" that I suspect are for different topics
like, say, microsoft.public.dotnet.*general*.

So they are doing some kind of parsing to try to come up with a description
for the users, and failing miserably. My guess is that the first "General
Discussion" entry in the list is falling to this group.

Here's the link if you want to go check it out. You need a MS Live id.

This is why I keep posting a response like "look for a group with the word
'windows' in the description". Because telling them to post to
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general doesn't do any good; they can't see
it.

Oddly enough, this started happening right after the Vista discussion
groups got added.

It's not just annoying to people who read this group; think how the people
posting feel. Not only do they not get answers, we tell them to go
somewhere else, and they don't know how/where.

I put in a complaint to Microsoft, but you know how that goes. There was a
<Contact Us> button on one of the Discussion Group screens, and I figured,
what the heck.
