There is a security setting in IE that can be changed to
force authentication when logging into OWA (Exchange 2000)
while inside the network. I am looking for a policy if
one exists with in a 2000 domain, or registry settings so
that I can make a global change via a policy push to our
2000 workstations.

Tks

yes, in the internet explorer settings in group policy, you can change the
security settings. you need to do custom level>user authentication>logon
and set to prompt for user name and password. Granted someone could go into
IE and change that back but each time they log in it will be reset. I also
believe their is a way to block access to the security settings so a user
cant change it back.

--Have looked but have not located the exact policy
area...I am looking under IN our case the workstations OU
properties; Group Policies tab; edit the policy for
workstation changes; under User Configuration,
Administrative Templates, Windows components, Internet
Explorer... Is this the area that you are more or less
referring to... thanks much
