I recently had to re-install my Hard Drive. Gateway sent
me a new HD with XP Pro similar to the first HD. This
time, however, I did not remember to set up user accounts
PRIOR to installing MS Office, additional drivers, etc.

All my user settings and software links are under the
Administrator Profile, which I learned hides itself when
you add new User Accounts. I am back up and running
under the Administration Profile, but want to add my
personal user account (and several others) without having
to reconfigur settings or install software.

Is there any way to transfer the user profile
information/links from Administrator to another account?
Unfortunately, I cannot rename the Administrator and make
this real easy.

Please advise.

First, make the new account, then make sure that you can view hidden files
and folders in explorer. Next go to:
My Computer > Properties > Advanced > User Profiles Settings

Here you can copy the Admin account to your user account. Or you could also
use Office's File and Transfer Wizard, but I've never used that so I don't
know anything about it.
