Dear Friends:
This morning I was trying to make a new user account for
the windows XP starting scree so that I can protect the
adminisatrator's account and all of its files and
contents. Some how (I didnt do it) the new account which
I created is the only account I see when I try to log in.
Where is the administrator's account?? and once I log
into the new created account I dont see all the icons and
things which were on the desktop.. what should I do??
Please help.

Without additional information, my guess is that you deleted your
administrator account. You'll have to re-create it.

You were using the default administrator account for your "regular"
account. It is normal for this account to disappear from the welcome screen
after another account is created. For this reason it is a good "reserve"
account for troubleshooting.

You have some choices:

--Create a new account in the administrator group for yourself. Log onto it
at least once to create its basic folders. Then use System> Advanced> Users
to copy the old profile to the new one. NOTE: You cannot be logged on to
the account you're transferring from or the one that you are copying to.
Suggest creating a "throwaway" administrator account for this task. When
finished with the transfer, delete the account - retaining the original
administrator account, the new administrator account and any other accounts
that you want on this system.

Use TweakUI for XP to force the account back to displaying the welcome
screen. NOTE: If this account becomes damaged during everyday use, you will
no longer be able to use it in some trouble shooting procedures.
Personally, prefer the other suggestion - creating a new user account that
will not be hidden from the welcome screen.

TweakUI is one of the Power toys for XP.

TweakUI v2.00 for Windows XP:.

TweakUI v2.10 for Windows XP SP1:

In addition to Sharon's reply, it is NOT good practice to use the
built-in administrator account for everyday use. This account is your
ONLY way into your machine (short of a repair install) if your User
account goes belly up.

try this click on start control panel user accounts create a new
account insert a user name for the account click on next put the dot in
the limited account or adminisatrator click create account, restart and
the new name should appear on the welcome screen don't forget nothing
will appear on the desktop for the new account till you put it there,
the adminisatrator is the only one who can do that it might be worth
setting the new account as adminisatrator hope this helps anything
else get in touch. al010c0769@blueyonder. Sandy
