This may be a stupid question, but I wanted to ask it
before I did anything. Previously when I turned on my
computer it would go right to my desk top. Yesterday I
downloaded some Microsoft updates from the website for my
computer. Now when I log on, it goes to a welcome screen
and makes me click on my user name. How do i get it to go
right to the desk top again without having to click on my
user? I went to the control panel and user accounts. And
it lets me choose if I want to use the welcome screen or
use fast user switching. I was gonna uncheck the use
welcome screen, but I was afraid of screwing something
up. Figured I would ask first. Any suggestions?

Veronica. If you open up control panel (click start button
it is in there) double click the icon that says USERS, in
there delete the accounts that were activated by update,
and reboot..

Thanks for asking the question, I've been having the same problem!

Who are you talking to and about what? Please quote the post you are
replying to as most people here use a newsreader rather than the web access.

Thank you.
