I created a new user account on my vista home basic computer. Now I want to
delete it. Is there a way to delete it because so far I am stumped?

Logon as the other user then you will be able to delete the
unwanted account

I have vista home basic. the link you supplied was for vistax64. It didn't
work on my computer. It said to go to control panel and click on click to
play. there was no such option on my computer.

You're a moron. He can't logon as the user of the new account then
delete the new account.

Go to the same place you went to when you started the account. Surely
you can find your way there without directions?

Go to Control Panel > Users Applet, if you can't locate it run help
and enter "user accounts" without the quotes as your query

I was talking to a dell rep this morning and he showed me how to delete an
account. You go to start/control panel/user accounts/manage another account.
then you highlight the account you want to delete and it goes to another
page where you have the option to delete account.

You have to log onto another account with Administrator priveleges, then you
can go into the Users section and delete it.

You cannot delete an account while you are logged into it, or from within
it.
