I did a quick Google search on your error and did not find much nor a
solution which means that it is a fairly rare occurrence. If you are using
XP Pro you could try using lusrmgr.msc to access the user accounts. To fix
the problem you could try an upgrade/repair installation of the operating
system that would require that you have the install disk and the product key
most likely. An upgrade/repair installation should preserve your
applications and data but require that you first install your service pack
and then all needed critical security updates from Windows Updates when
done. You can put your install cd in the cdrom drive while running Windows
XP and when the installation starts via autorun be to select UPGRADE and not
new install. Best practice is to always backup your important data files
[including clear text of any EFS encrypted files] to cdrom/DVD disks before
you do any type of reinstall. --- Steve
