User accounts

I changed my user account type to stop games from being installed, but now I seem to have been locked out and can't change my status back to administrator. I can't start the system restore in safe mode because I don't have the privilidges. My laptop uses XP professional and is part of a network, which i don't have access to. Is any way to override the user account status?

Do you mean you're on a domain? Did you change back to a workgroup by any
chance, or did you just remove your domain account from the local
administrators group? Do you not know the local admin credentials? You'll
need them in order to log in and change anything.... can you ask your work
admin?
