Running Windows Vista 64 with no hardware or software issues, Administrator
account and user account (me).
I dled an update for a program I use while logged on as me (User). When I
try to install it says the update can only be installed by the Administrator
and gives me the option of selecting the Administrator account for the
install. When I enter my password it says, "Account Name or Password is
incorrect" even though the info is correct.
I logged on in the Administrator account and successfully installed the
update and the program starts and runs as the new program. I've set all the
permissions to allow the program to be fully accessible to all users while
here and it shows the permissions being set.
I switch users and when I start the program it's running as the old program,
not the updated one. I looked in the folder and the exe file has the name of
the new update but is still runnig as the old program. Only thing that is
out of the ordinary to me is the old program is 32 bit and the update is 64
bit.
Any help appreciated,
Dave
