I'm trying to figure out where to find more information about user
accounts that is not listed in the Control Panel: Admin Tools: User
Accounts. The info I'm looking for is the account name that I see when
I access the computer over the network. On my computer, this is
different than the login name listed in User Accounts.
What happened was, that I upgraded from Win98 to WinXP Home. When I
created my first user account with "New Name" it assigned the "Old
Name" that was associated with Win98 to that account. That's what I see
when I look at the computer over the network. And when I created my
second user account with the login name of "Old Name" what I see over
the network is "Old Name_2". So I'm trying to figure out where these
underlying names are stored. It's not in User Accounts, which shows
only the login name that I used to create the accounts.
