Hi
It can be everything , Lilly!
First , if you have Windows XP or Windows Me , do a System Restore
Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore
Restore you system to a state some days before the problem started.

If this doesn't help , make sure your computer is malware free ! Use your
Symantec Antivirus to scan or use another reputable online scanner to have
second opinion
http://www.activescan.com
or
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

After you make sure your computer is malware free , do a repiar install of
Windows.
You could try running the System File Checker (sfc.exe),
this will scan all protected Windows files to verify their versions have not
been overwritten or damaged,
and if so will replace the compromised version with a fresh copy.

To run it, click Start->Run and type
sfc.exe /scannow

Make sure you keep handy your Windows CD/Recovery CD which you received when
you bought your
Windows / computer because you'll need it to do the repair.

Thanks Pandaman,
The full story is another. I gave my notebook to the colleague for an week
to complete his private job...and after that I have some trouble problems
like that one. I have also another problems with my User account which is
with administrative privileges. May be the only way is to do clear install
again to be sure I have working installation.

Lily , this was may be the worst thing you have ever done !
Who knows what your colleague was doing with your laptop ?!?!?!

Well , it is not absolutely necessary to format the hard drive and then full
reinstall f Windows , but this is the onliest that can guarantees you 100%
clean of problems machine.

To start with ,I suggest you to :

1) Update your Symantec Antivirus
2) Scan with it
3) Visit my web-site
http://pandaman.my.contact.bg
and perform the fast malware removal instructions . Do them systematically !
4) As mentioned in my previous post (my first answer to you ) , do a repiar
install of Windows using sfc.exe . Please read my previous post for more info
..Do not do System Restore ,though.

Now , everything should be alright .

If this doesn't fix the problem , you really should reinstall your Windows .
Do a back up on CD or DVD disk , make sure the files are virus free and copy
only important files. Then , open the link below . It shows a correspondence
between me and another person and I am explaing in details how to format and
reinstall Windows
Read carefully and learn what you should do to reinstall Windows and steps
after that

If you feel uncomfortable , take your computer to a *reputable* computer
shop and ask IT specialists for help .But be very carefull -> in Bulgaria
reputable means really reputable , not your local garage in Plovdiv ;-) And
the last thing should be NEVER give you computer to anyone else !
Use only genue (legal) Microsoft software !!! :)
