Whenever a 'limited' user removes items from his/her
desktop, those items are removed from other accounts,
including administrator. is this normal? i thought that
each person could add/remove shortcuts without changing
others. is there a problem with my configuration?

thanks for any help

Kevin,

The desktop shortcuts you see are actually stored in 2 locations.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop (Affects all users, as it is
a common source)
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your user name>>\Desktop (Affects the current
user profile only)

You may have removed the shortcuts from the path 1 above.
