I deleted a user account via Control Panel>User Accounts and choosing to
delete user's files. However, looking at Users folder in Explorer there is
still a folder in there for the deleted user with a number of subfolders
(Documents, Favorites, Pictures etc).

I would like to delete the user's folder and subfolders but I understand
this would lead to logging in problems with new user accounts - I had
deleted a user folder and was not able to log into any new account created
and had to reinstall windows. Is there a way of safely removing this
folder?

Hi JP,

The folder you are refering to is known as the user profile and contains
everything to do with that user, application settings, documents, favorites
etc...

If you have indeed deleted the user and not just renamed it to a different
user then you are fine to remove this folder without problems - just make
sure you are positive you don't want any files that belonged to the user
account first.

Hope this helps,
Jon
