I can not access 'User Account' whether in norm or safe mode. Admin in safe
mode gets this message/error: ['User account' Wrong number of arguments or
invalid property assignment] Booting to last known good config does not help
either. Does anyone ever experienced/knowledge of this? I will greatly
appreciate it if there is a fix besides config system back to
factory/original state....

Perhaps this will help.

ActiveX controls may not load as expected in Internet Explorer due to
defense in depth changes introduced in cumulative security update 896688:

Ramesh,
I visited your site and downloaded the olereg.vbs and tried to run it, but
just got this Windows Script Host error:
Script: C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner\Desktop\olereg.vbs
Line: 13
Char: 1
Error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'Wscript.Shell'
Code: 800A01AD
Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error
I've looked at the other links and tried some 'known issue' solutions and
did changes to the affiliated registry and still have the problem.
I did a safe mode virus and adware scan and found one called:
W32.Sinnaka.A@mm. It was scanned in the Regkey in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:SOFTWARE\Microsof\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrneVersion\Run, but has been
deleted and no longer present. Nothing seems to help and my only next
alternative is to back-up data and load the recovery dvd's that i made over a
year ago. Your info was quite informative and unless you have any other
ideas, I should start my recovery efforts this weekend.

The error "ActiveX component can't create object: 'Wscript.Shell'" can be
resolved by typing this in Start, Run:

regsvr32 wshom.ocx
(Press Enter)

If that does not help, reinstall Windows Script 5.6 (for Windows 2000/XP)
available from Microsoft site.

Ramesh,

Tried both of your suggestions and to no avail. Thanks for your help. I
emailed the MS help/support with my problems and all that I've done to
resolve the issue and I'm sure they will come up with some other long process
and I will just eventually have to recover back to new conditions and
hopefully remembered to back-up important data. I will keep your webpage for
future references. Thanks.

Ramesh,

I checked out another community newsgroup and found lost souls like myself
on the Microsoft-unknown knowledge to the public- concerning Windows Updates.
Numerous issues deal with the one I had and mixed with update problems and so
forth. So for the individuals still holding on to the IE browser, the error
mentioned down below for the users account and the error:0x8DDD0004 during
updates, venture to the English/windows/windows update community newsgroup
and type your error in the search column and find out what MS has not
publicly released for the problems that you might encounter.

As stated before, I will log down your well made website for future
occurrences.
Thanks once again
