User Account screen coming up

All of a sudden, since yesterday, when my computer is
idle, and i hit the keyboard to get to desktop, it takes
me to the User Account screen where I have to click on the
user account icon to get to get to my desktop.
Previously, this only happened when i clicked on User
Accounts in the Control Panel. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi Bob,

Right-click an empty area on the desktop and click properties. Go to the
screensaver tab and uncheck the line "On resume, display Welcome screen".
Then click on power options, go to the advanced tab and uncheck "prompt for
password...". Use apply/ok to get back out.
