Hi,

How do I set my security given a form (welcome screen) I
created that allow users to select Items. If user select
Item 1, I will have a form asking user for ID and
password, then the form for Item 1 will show up after
logged in.

Can you show me how i can set/code this depend on users'
ID and password?

PS. I also have a table of users and acceessibility level
ranking from 1-5.

Thanks,

STOP! BACK UP! TURN BACK!!!

Why are you using a table with userid and passwords? Why write code?
Access has built in security that does all this for you very well. Why
reinvent the wheel?

Implement Access' User-Level Security and then grant your users permission
to the the objects you want them to have.

Is User-Level Security a separate software that i need to
add? How do i set this up
Thanks,

User-Level Security is built in to MS Access. It is very easy to mess up,
so read the instructions over and over, make a backup copy of your database
(or two) and then dive in.

Joan Wild is the Access Security guru (in my opinion). See her website for
details at...

www.jmwild.com/AccessSecurity.htm

Read the security FAQ ( http://support.microsoft.com/?id=207793 ) carefully
and at least twice before you begin.
