User Access

Limit their access to what?

This is problematic with Access 2007, since if the application is not in a
trusted location, or is not signed by a trusted publisher, then Access
automatically opens with macros disabled, displaying the ribbon, navigation
pane, and the "Options" button (which will allow you to enable macros).

However, if the user doesn't enable the macros, then they have access to the
navigation pane automatically, although I think you can hide that in the
Options.

My apologies if I was unclear, I am new to Access 2007. I would like
to block standard users access to the under lying DB tables, Queries,
Macros, Form & Report Design features. I just read that 2007 has
removed the User Security component. I am going to assume means that
I'll more than likely have to create a custom "Log In" form using VBA
script to validate user log in and restrict access to a Switchboard
(unless you sign in as an admin).

Bender,

Access 2007 has the Runtime available for free. Here's some reading...
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/bb229700.aspx See if this gives you
what you want.

... only if you use the new accdb-format.

But you can use the "old" mdb-format and your workgroup files - even
with Access 2007.
With this, security should be the same as with Access <= 2003.
