Hello, I would like to allow a user from another W2K
domain to look at some folders in my domain. What is the
correct way to allow this. I made a local group, added
user from domain A to local group, tried to add local
group to a global group, no dice. The SNap server I am
using only sees global groups( as far as I can tell). Am I
missing something, shouldn't be that difficult.

Thanks - John

You can't add a local group to a global group. You can add global groups to
local groups. Global groups can only contain users fron their domain and
maybe other global groups from the domain if in native mode. A local group
can contain global groups and users from any trusted domain. So try creating
a global group, add the user to that global group and then add that global
group to a local group in the other domain that you can create to give
permissions to the resource. Confused now? So am I, but I hope it made some
sense. --- Steve

Domain user>domain global group>domain/trusted domain local group>resource
access control list.
