useless user accounts

I view the user accounts as more useless hoop jumping. I want my machine to come on and without that hoop jumping.

Since I downloaded updates yesterday every time the machine activates screen saver I have to "click" on my user account name to get access again. Also when I start the machine now it wants me to "click" on my account before the machine will finish starting. I want to turn the machine on and walk away and when I come back it's ready to go. I don't know who decided to make this a mandatory function but I'd like to kick their butt. I looked in all the "help" sections that I could find and found no mention of this issue.

I'm the only person on this machine. All the password crap is meaningless anyway. Some who wants in can get in anyway probably. User accounts should be a OPTION that is activated if you want it not another hoop you have to jump through.

Start/Control Panel/User Account
Delete any other user accounts you may have, except Administrator and Guest account
Change the way users (you the Administrator) log on or off
Do not activate the Guest account.

Don't think you CAN delete the Administrator account anyway......

Why not go back to Windows 3.1?

If you have XP:

Click>>start>>run>>type: control userpasswords2>>click OK.
Uncheck: users must enter a user name and password to use
this computer. click OK

Now change the same for coming out of resume or standby:

Click start>>control panel>>double click Power Options.
Click on the Advanced Tab. Click to clear the: Prompt for
password when computer resumes from standby and click OK.

That will auto you for login.
