Useless .exe files

Why is it that most of the .exe files in C:\Windows\System32 don't work. The
only thing that happens is a cmd prompt screen pops-up and then dissappears
quickly. What's up with this?!

Keep playing around in there. You'll soon be here crying for help on
how to fix your system.
 
Actully I did continue to mess with them..and found out they are actully cmd
prompt commands....hmmm...me soo smart...

And just why would you be "messing" with the sytem32 folder in the first
place?

It's how people learn.
If you only do what you already know, you end up humping things all day.

And if you "mess" with OS folders without good reason (or knowing what you
are doing - and I can't think of ANY reason to "mess" with that folder in
the first place) you end up repairing your OS all day!
 
Just as Hobbes said..its how I learn new things...and If I mess up to a point
that nothing will work, I will just reinstall Vista...it wouldn't be the
first time.
