Used Wrong Disc for Installation

Hi, folks,

My problem is that I was installing win 2k server (sp3) from an installation
disc for which I don't have a serial no.

But I was right in the middle of the installation when I realized I was
using the wrong installation disk. I should have been using my basic win2k
disc, for which I *do have the serial no.

In the middle of the install, I abandoned the installation and tried to
start over, but now my machine thinks it's still in the middle of that
previous installation and will not allow me to run a new installation. It
skips the CD drive on boot-up and goes right back to the point where it left
off. The boot sequence's first drive choice is the CD/DVD drive, but
windows is not running a new installation.

Problem is, I don't have a serial no for that installation disc. So, I'm
really screwed if I can't figure a way around this. .

Anyone know of a solution to this problem? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Boot the machine with a Win98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com,
then delete all existing partitions with fdisk.exe.

If you are unable to delete all partitions then you can use
delpart.exe to delete them: http://www.russelltexas.com/delpart.htm.
