Used "open with" by mistake

Peter

I downloaded from an e-mail a plug-in in .tpl format for a
program that I use.
When I double-clicked to open and install the .tpl plug-
in, the "open with" dialog box came up. I clicked
on "internet explorer" and "ok". This was not a correct
choice, so I deleted the download, cleared the recycle
bin, and proceeded to download it from e-mail again.
UNFORTUNATELY the check box for "always use this program
to open these files" was checked, and now the plug-in
ALWAYS tries to open using internet explorer. How do I
remove this as the default program so that I can open and
use the .tpl file in the program it was designed for?
Thank you in advance !!

Highlight a .tpl file, hold down the shift key, right click; a menu with
Open with... should pop-up, slect the correct program and check the always
box.

Hi Peter - You need to check this and/or set it for those not checked for
each file type that you download:

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question, e.g. for .zip
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File, for this example)
Click on Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version, and check the
"Confirm open after download" box. In your case, you need to do this for
the .tpl extentsion.
